EU Member Countries
If you are resident of an EU Member country or have a dual citizenship with an EU Member Country, you are elegible to work in the UK without work permits or working visa’s. HSMP (Highly Skilled Migrants Programme)

Working Holiday Visa

Registration with the GMC in the UK is a prequisite for all Doctors to work in the UK and the NHS; its application details can be obtained directly from the GMC website http://www.gmc-uk.org/doctors/ or you can talk to us for more details and we assist you with the application.
UK Taxation
There are two types of taxation that is applied to earnings in the UK; PAYE known as Pay As You Earn, this is income tax applied to earnings, there are different rates according to an individuals status, please contact us for more details. The other tax is National Insurance Contributions, this is a contribution towards certain social security benefits such as state pensions. Note; the rate of contribution varies with an individuals status whether you are employed, self employed or trading through a limited company.

Salary Payments and Bank Accounts
Locum salaries are determined on time sheets authorised by the Hospital, on reciept of a signed time sheet, under normal circumstances we will pay you within 7 days of reciept of time sheet. Note; we are legally required to make NIC and PAYE deductions from your gross pay. For more details please contact us.
Bank Accounts, we can assist you in obtaining a UK Bank Account with a reputable High Street Banking Ogranisation, we have excellent relationships with Natwest, Barclays and HSBC.
Accomodation
Usually accomodation is provided as a part of your locum contract either free of charge or at a heavily subsidised cost. As a part of our complete service to you, we will organise your accomodation and provide details prior to your commencement of contract.
